Orlando, FL – The Orlando Magic announced today its 2006-07 local television schedule for both the Magic Television Network and Sun Sports. MY 65 WRBW Orlando serves as the over-the-air flagship station of MagicTV for the eighth consecutive year, while Sun Sports will begin its 18th season as the Florida cable television home of the Magic.

80 of Orlando’s 82 regular season games will be televised. During the regular season, the club will appear on MagicTV a total of 35 times, while Sun Sports will carry 42 outings. TNT will carry two games nationally on Thursday, December 14 @ Charlotte and Thursday, March 8 vs. Chicago, while ABC will have a national telecast on Sunday, March 11 @ Houston. Former Magic head coach Matt Guokas will once again join play-by-play veteran David Steele for the call of all MagicTV and Sun Sports telecasts.

The MagicTV broadcast schedule will consist of 20 road games and 15 home contests. MagicTV coverage on MY 65 WRBW begins with Opening Night on Wednesday, November 1 vs. Chicago (6:30 p.m. telecast start time). Each MY 65 WRBW broadcast includes a half-hour pre-game show, “Dodge Countdown to Magic.” In addition, MY 65 WRBW will once again provide viewers a Secondary Audio Programming (SAP) option to listen to the broadcasts in Spanish.

Sun Sports’ 42-game regular season schedule includes 23 home games and 19 road contests. Their coverage begins on Friday, November 3 vs. Philadelphia (6:30 p.m. telecast start time). Each regular season Sun Sports telecast will include “Southern Ford Dealers Magic Tonight,” the network’s half-hour pre-game show, hosted by Paul Kennedy. Whit Watson will also host select editions of the pre-game show.

Sun Sports will team up again with Bright House Networks this season and produce 10 Orlando Magic regular season games in High Definition for Bright House Network's HD customers in Orlando and Tampa. Specific HD telecasts will be announced at a later date.
